US trips · flight+hotel · hotel+car
Book a US trip, not a 14-stop fantasy.
Trip Bundle is for people who already have dates: a city weekend, a park gateway with an airport on one end, a reunion with a 2 p.m. checkout. We default to Expedia for a US package search. We say so in the header. We do not stack fourteen stops onto a Tuesday because the map looks small.
Expedia, Orbitz, and Travelocity are Expedia Group siblings, not three unrelated companies. Honest alternatives live on sister sites: Priceline on Book the Stay, Hotels.com on Park Stay. Primary hop: /go/expedia/ (currently https://www.expedia.com/).
A sequence, not a slogan
01
Decide if the trip can move
Weather, a timed-entry slot, a child, a connection. If the week can still slide, a glued nonrefundable package is a second itinerary, not a discount. Start by reading cancellation language, not the banner.
02
Search Expedia as the default
Use it for a US flight+hotel or hotel+car search first. Compare the package total to the same hotel as a standalone rate. Then decide whether the bundle is one convenient contract or two rules fighting each other.
03
Only then look at Priceline or Hotels.com
Priceline is the discount and opaque path on Book the Stay. Hotels.com is the named, often-cancellable lodging default on Park Stay. Expedia is not a third universe from Hotels.com — it is the same family. We say when each should win.

Flight + hotel packages: when Expedia is the right checkout
A US flight+hotel package is one checkout, not a magic discount. When the Expedia bundle is the honest tool, when it glues a fare to a room, and when to split.

Hotel + car on Expedia: when to bundle and when the counter is a different contract
A hotel+car package can be convenient. It can also glue a prepaid room to a rental rule you did not read. How to use Expedia without pretending the counter is the hotel.
City weekends
How to book a US city weekend without a 14-stop itinerary
A two-night US city trip is a hotel, a way in, and two things you will actually do. How to use Expedia without turning the weekend into a scavenger hunt.
Park gateways
Park gateway weeks: when an Expedia bundle should lose
A national-park week is a lodging problem before it is a package problem. When to keep Expedia in the tab, and when to split to Hotels.com or Priceline.
What this site will not do
- Invent a package price, a star score, or a coupon code so a screenshot looks current.
- Pretend Gary Thomas has flown every route named in a public timetable.
- Stack a 14-stop itinerary because a map tile is small.
- Impersonate Expedia, Orbitz, Travelocity, or Expedia Group. This is not their site.
